Happy Mare's Day

1-4 p.m. 

Happy Mare's Day is a fundraiser and a friend-raiser for both Second Chance Ranch and Heart to Horse Connection.

To celebrate this afternoon of horses, we're looking for:

presenters to do demonstrations and/or information sessions  

vendors to sell their horse-related wares

volunteers for committees and day-of duties

sponsors and donors to assist with the pre-event advertising

Below are details of the separate options.

 

Presenters of Demonstrations & Information Sessions

Demonstrations:      25-30 minutes

Promote your horse-related subject that covers some educational aspect , conducted in a round pen or arena. 

Information Sessions: 10-15 minutes short sessions

Promote your  specific horse-related topic, conducted in a round pen or arena. 

Registration required by Saturday, 28 April. Contact us to request a registration form. 

A non-refundable fee of $20 will help offset the pre-event costs, deferring them from Second Chance Ranch.  A raffle or silent auction item donated of equivalent value is also accepted.

Volunteers

An event like Happy Mare's Day cannot happen without volunteers -- both in advance and day-of -- who can lend their talent and time to the cause. 

PRE-EVENT -- Committees to assist with marketing & promotion, event planning, silent auction/raffle, scheduling activities & volunteer. 

DAY-OF -- Site managers & assistants, runners, admission/gate fee, tour guides for ranch,  raffle/silent auction tables.

Here's what's happening so far . . .

Heart to Horse Connection will be doing information sessions and demonstrations on horse relationships, communication, horse-handling and grooming as well as equine reiki. 

Second Chance Ranch (a non-profit)will be offering information sessions about the ranch (non-profit, rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming), horse rides, demonstrations on tacking up for a trail ride, riding lessons & more!

Kid's Activity Area

               Silent Auction/Raffle   

JUST CONFIRMED -- there will be informations session about FEEL - Facilitated Equine Experiential Learning and another on a creating a Pasture Paradise.           

More to come as the day gets closer!

 Vendors

Vendors who have horse-related items for sale or wantto promote their programs or services.  At least 10% of what is on offer needs to be horse-related.

A space will be provided outdoors to accommodate a 6' table or 8' canopy/tent.

Sponsors & Donors

Sponsors are being sought to cover pre-event costs, such as advertising and promotion, marketing materials, event signage, etc.

Sponsorship funds do not pay employees.  It is a volunteer-run event.
